New Soundcloud Account

So recently I deleted my old soundcloud account and started another. The main reason for the change is the music I am now putting out is more house orientated where the old account was more about hip hop music. Putting links new house tracks up for a more or less hip hop crowd is not really a good thing.

Anyway, to kicks things off on the new account I've uploaded this deep, disco house track. It's called 'That Thing' it's quite an uplifting number but still laid back if you like. The track actually samples Jack Fell Down - "Love Away". I hope you enjoy and if your on soundcloud then please follow.

GIG, Thursday at Bar 141 - Brick Lane

For those that don't know... which is everyone almost! I run a night with a few other DJ's called Common Knowledge. The night consists of many different styles of music ranging from jazz, funk, hiphop to house and electronic dance music.
Anyway we are currently moving around the east end area of London. This Thursday takes us to a new venue with recent new ownership. Bar 141 at the top of Brick Lane. We will be kicking off around 7pm, although it says 8pm on the flyer. Music wise, hiphop, funk and house music later on usually does the trick.

Groove Control 27.04.2012

Friday 27th April 2012 brings me to Groove Control. A new night kicking off in East London. This will actually be the second event. The first event with Kid Suda is this Friday 20th April.
I'm looking forward to this one as I've been asked to do a hip hop set which I have not done in a while so expect some classics and some new tunes that I've been digging up.

So the competition closes this Sunday and as I'm not around this weekend to push this to the bitter end I have to do it now. I would like to say a big, big thanks to anyone that has listened and especially anyone that has clicked that heart shape to vote for me. I'm sure some of you are board of me talking about this competition but it is a pretty big prize.

The Super 7 Mix Series

Wow, check this out the Super 7 mix series vols 1-5. All free for you to download. These mixes contain some of hip hop's finest. DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Revolution, L.A's DJ Spider & Steve1der, Gas Lamp Killer and so on. I can't really say how much I dig this. Follow DJ Jayceeoh on soundcloud for more killer mixtapes and bootlegs.

So on the competition front i'm getting closer to 100 plays I need to get through to the short list, or not so short list depending on the other entries. Anyway, to give the mix a little push over the line i've added this blog where you can now download the mix free via the soundcloud link below.
